Roy B. Zimmerman, 73, Goshen, died peacefully at home, at 7:20 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017.
He had been in declining health for one year and was looking forward to meeting his Savior and reuniting with his three children that had preceded him in death.
Roy was born March 20, 1944 in Foraker to John W. and Esther (Bauman) Zimmerman. He had lived his lifetime in this area. On Nov. 28, 1965 he married Anna Mary Shirk.
Roy was a member of Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church. He was a Dairy farmer and owned Michiana Wheel Polishing. He served in 1-W Service in Kokomo and was on the Haiti MGMH Board.
Roy enjoyed spending time with his family.
Roy is survived by his wife, Anna Mary; children, Valerie (Todd) Martin, Claypool, Janell (Allen) Martin, Goshen, Sharon (Rodney) Ramer, New Paris, Jonathan (Marlene) Zimmerman, Goshen, Kimberly (Adam) Ramer, New Paris; 35 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Merle (Verna) Zimmerman, Elkhart, Arthur (Lois) Zimmerman, Nappanee; and sisters, Mary Ann VanPelt, Edith Martin, Erma (Robert) Ramer, all of Goshen. He was preceded in death by children, Galen, Cynthia,and Julia Zimmerman; granddaughter, Erica Martin; brothers, Kenneth, Norman, Melvin Zimmerman; and brother-in-laws, Perry VanPelt and Charles Martin.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 Tuesday, May 23 and 2-4, 6-8 Wednesday, May 24 at the Ramer Mennonite Youth Center. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 25th at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
