Mary E. Miller, 86, Bremen, died at 4:23 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at her residence from a long illness.

She was born Sept. 2, 1930 in LaGrange County to Ezra and Anna (Bontrager) Yoder.  On April 14, 1951, she married Sylvanus J. Miller in Goshen.

Mary lived her lifetime in this area.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Surviving are her husband, Sylvanus; children: Carolyn (Al) Bontrager, Shipshewana; Barbara (Kenneth) Miller, Bremen; Ruth (Roman) Yoder, Topeka; Carl (Edna) Miller, Shipshewana; Judy (Ray) Kemp, Nappanee; Leon (Dorothy) Miller, Bremen; Jerry Miller, Bremen; Arlin Miller, Milford; Glen Miller, Milford; Earl (Dawn) Miller, New Paris; Vera (Arlen) Lehman, Milford; Mervin (Debra) Miller, Nappanee; 66 grandchildren; 106 great grandchildren; and brothers: Perry Yoder, Goshen; Christie (Marlene) Yoder, Topeka; sisters: LeAnna (John) Schrock, Middlebury; twin sisters: Ada (Nelson) Miller, Shipshewana; and Katie (Tom) Humble, Middlebury; and brother-in-law, LaVern Miller, Shipshewana.

She was preceded in death by a  great grandson, Micah Schmucker; sister, Lizzie Mae (Yoder) Bontrager; and brothers, Elmer and Daniel Yoder.

Friends and family may call after 2 p.m., Monday, November 14 and all day Tuesday, November 15 at the family home (980 2B Road). Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 16 at the Lavon Miller Residence (470 2B Road). The Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate and burial will follow in Weldy Cemetery.
