Melissa A. Miller, 11, of Nappanee, passed away peacefully at 4:12 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at her residence, after a two-year battle with cancer.

She was born June 3, 2009, in Waynesboro, Virginia, to Ezra and Erin (Nead) Miller.  Melissa had attended Woodview Elementary and was looking forward to attending her 6th grade school year at NorthWood Middle School this fall.

Surviving are her parents; sister, Emily Miller, at home; brothers, Ezra and Kristopher Miller, both at home; paternal grandmother, Esther Miller, Orwell, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Leon & Elizabeth Nead, Hart, Mich.; great-grandmother, Marlene Brovont, Goshen and great-grandmother, Norma Nead, Goshen. She was preceded in death by a sister, Amber Grace Miller.

Family and friends may call from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, at Ramer Mennonite Youth Center (24647 County Road 44, Nappanee). Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 13 at Cornerstone Mennonite Church (County Road 44, Nappanee).  Pastors Joe Yoder and Andrew Eversole, of Milford Chapel, will officiate.  Burial will be in South Union Cemetery

Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital.
