Timothy Jacob Furney, 20, Syracuse, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, from a train accident in New Paris.
He was born May 18, 1995, in Warsaw, to Bruce and Minnie (Smith) Furney, Jr. He was a 2013 graduate of Fairfield High School. He worked at Rotational Molding Technologies (RomoTech) in New Paris.
He is survived by his mother: Minnie Furney, Syracuse; daughter: Emma Elizabeth Furney, New Paris; sisters: Jennifer and Sarah Furney, both of Syracuse; grandfather: Bruce Furney Sr., Warsaw; niece: Aubree Yoder, Syracuse; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father: Bruce Furney Jr., and grandmothers: Mary Furney; and Kelly Smith.
Timothy will be cremated, and there will be visitation from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. A time of sharing is set for 6 p.m. also at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at South Union Cemetery.
