Ruby Miller, 95, Nappanee, died at 6:24 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at her son’s residence.
She was born in Nappanee on July 4, 1925, to Lawrence and Surelda (Pippenger) Harter.
Ruby was a lifelong resident of the Nappanee area and a 1943 graduate of Nappanee High School. She married James Miller on Aug. 30, 1943, in Angola. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2001.
Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Nappanee United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed working in the thrift shop.
She is survived by two sons: Kirby (Linda) Miller, Nappanee, and Russell (Nancy) Miller, Nappanee; daughter, Helen (Dean) Nusbaum, Wakarusa; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Helen Harter and Jean Tyrrell, and brother, Russell Harter.
Cremation will take place and private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder funeral home, Nappanee.
