HAROLD E. MAST

Harold E. Mast, age 91, formerly of Nappanee, died at 7:40 am, Friday, March 24, 2017 at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth.

He was born January 11, 1926 in Nappanee to Glen and Gladys (Huffman) Mast. On July 1, 1945, he married Doris Young. She preceded him in death March 28, 2002. His second marriage was to Kathryn Rohrer. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Mast was a WW II Navy Veteran. He lived most of his life in Nappanee and was a mechanic, working on tractors, cars and trucks. Mr. Mast was a lifetime member of apostolic Temple in South Bend. He enjoyed traveling and played the Hawaiian steel guitar. He also enjoyed steam engines and antique cars.

Mr. Mast is survived by his daughters, Janet Snyder, Nancy (Bob) Mellinger, both of Bremen; four grandchildren, Natalie (Jeff) Bonifacious, Rob (Stephanie) Mellinger, Kellie (Jon) Cacaippo, Stephanie Conner; nine great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a brother, David (Karen) Mast, Montana.

He was preceded in death by a brother Billy.

Family and friends may call for one hour prior to the 2:00 pm, funeral service, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Pastor Chris Rowe will officiate and burial will be in South Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
